Dr. Paul Kucera

Dr. Paul Kucera, President and Founder of Kucera Consulting Services, LLC has been leading analytical R&D and analytical development activities in the multinational pharmaceutical industry for 35 years prior to establishing KCS. He was a Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida teaching Chemistry, and he was a Professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey teaching analytical separation techniques to graduate students, worked as a consultant to Burdick @ Jackson Co, in Muskegon, Michigan on all matters related to analytical chemistry, and published numerous papers and books related to analytical chemistry and chromatographic techniques (see attached list). He is an author of a textbook on "Microcolumn High Performance Liquid Chromatography" published by Elsevier as part of the Journal of Chromatography Library Series, Volume 28. Dr. Kucera has served as an editor for Chromatography magazine and in the past organized EAS Symposia on method development and validation. Currently, Dr. Kucera is a member of World Health Organization in Geneva (WHO) Expert Committee on Pharmaceuticals, and previously was a member of the United States Pharmacopeial Convention Expert Committee (USP) in Rockville, MD, on Nutritional Supplements and Botanical Preparations.

Dr. Kucera has a B.S. degree in Organic Chemistry (1962), MS Degree in Chemical Engineering (1967), and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (1980) from the Rutgers University in New Jersey. His professional pharmaceutical work experience includes 15 years in R&D, and Quality Control of Swiss based Hoffmann-La Roche Company in Nutley, New Jersey where he held positions of increasing responsibility for 20 years. He worked at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals now Pfizer, where he was a Senior Director of Global Analytical Development Group providing analytical services to Wyeth global factories manufacturing ethical, nutritional and botanical products.
